A little more on the exposure if you can, some cameras have a "BULB" setting or a longer exposure, that may give you some more detail.

About an hour ago I took the following picture of my ongoing fire.

I can never seem to take a good pic of the flames. Do you need to have the light off and then over expose the pic?
