Can a 500 cfm blower go on a Channing III, I have a 265 cfm that came with the unit right now. Just would like to move the heat upstair from the basement alittle more through my duct work.

if you could fabricate it so would fit well.... and I suppose it would not be a problem... as long as your duct work can accommodate the extra air movement... you may have to run the stove a little hotter than normal .... but again I suppose it would work.
... I am in central New York( Syracuse)... I'll bet you wish you had more heat last night!!...

It might be easier to try to move the return air better.

Sometimes pushing too much air over or through the stove will not allow sufficient time to draw the heat. If that makes sense to you. I'm not sure exactly how to word it. But pushing too much air may make it feel cooler than it really is.

And believe it or not but as I said sometimes it is easier to work with the return air which allow the heated air to just naturally go into the upper rooms.
