Rust converter on inside of Harmon Super Mag

Its my 4th season with my Haromon super Mag and im noticing alot of the inside of the stoves and doors are getting a bit rusty. I have done the spring cleaning but didnt know about the light bulb trick for the humidity. My question is can I shut the stove down, clean it out and then spray it down with a rust converter like loctite or one of the others? Also should I paint the inside with a high temp stove paint after the converter sets? When I fire it back up will the rust converter coat hold up to the high temps? Will it cause any kind of fumes? Anyone ever do this?

Do not paint the inside of your stove. It will peel, and catch flyash...which will reduce the efficiency of your stove. In the spring give it a thorough cleaning with a wirebrush, and spray the inside down with a corrosion inhibitor...WD 40, LPS-3, etc. The light bulb will do wonders.

what is the easiest way to remove the rust that is present already, going to be very dificult to use a wire brush or sander, lots of corners, not much room etc. Perhaps some kind of chemical?

I used a mini sand blaster and it worked great. they're pretty cheap $30 or so, a small compressor ,RESPIRATOR and face shield and your good to go. Did I mention RESPIRATOR?

did it make a mess in the room you did it in or did mostly everything stay inside of the stove?
