And finger printing anyone who owns one. I would be real careful about posting anything anywhere disclosing what you may own. I don't see this being widely complied with.

All I have left from mine is the lower receiver. I needed a piece of heavy tubing with a 1/4" hole, so the barrel was cut up. And the rest was melted down and made into grates and doors for our stoves. Oh well.

That would mean that since all or at least most legally bought assault weapons are already registered then only criminals would have to do it. That should work.

That's only certain states. PA only requires a background check. I would be open to requiring training and a proficiency ( or common sense exam ) the only down side to that is the would be criminals that once were not criminals would also have better training. Registration I don't feel should be part of it.

If I ever get an assault weapon it will already be registered. All fully automatic weapons require it already. All my guns are just hunting or target rifles or pistols.

You live in a commonwealth state like I do. Don't you have free trade and sell of hand to hand arms without registration ? We don't have registration laws in VA. I actually bought an old Italian carcano wwII rifle right outside of Pittsburg .

You do differentiate between what they call "assault rifles" and fully auto right? Because most "assault rifles are only semi auto much like a lot of hunting rifles. In order to have a automatic rifle or hand gun you must have a FFL (federal firearms license) you can't just up and own one of those. And you have to adhere to a lot of stipulations of how they must be stored and so on.

Also classification of fire arms is stupid. All an "assault rifle " is is a hunting rifle with fancy pistol grips and other things that ou can put on any "hunting rifle" they are all instruments which launch projectiles using explosive methods. People forget some of us are still pretty damn good with muzzle loaders ;) and .50 cal is a big round .

Screw a little spray gun go buy a BFG .50cal sniper.

We are such a stupid stupid nation!

I'm not worried about someone with a gun killing me . We should be more worried of our govt. and what they are doing to us now.

But that is what some cannot comprehend. The gov. is all things to everyone. You must believe that and if you don't you are a dangerous individual. Why, we elect such brilliant people to make these decisions for us and we can't have you resisting progress. They have your best interests at heart, really!
