America's dead, gun control

I'll run w/ that one. At 17--18 yrs old, a lot of us felt we were fighting that domino effect, farm bred, rural edumacated. Now remember, I'm well into my 60's--the only thing that would get me back in the trenches would be an ATTACK on these shores. I am also very supportive of neices & nephews currently serving over in the sand box. They're doing what they feel is right. As for CO's???? There's a lot of non-combatant stuff that needs doing in a warfare situation. It comes a time when Ma, apple pie & the American way gets set aside & comes down to covering yor brother in arms ass.

Sorry to barge, but I don't mess with NJ cops. Especially the urban ones.

I've told this tidbit here before, a few years ago I got pulled over at a "NJ Mobile Inspection Station", right on busy rt. 22. The cops were selectively stopping cars with apparent violations. Roadblock! My 95 Jimmy had a cracked windshield. I was in a mood and mouthed off to the cop. I yelled, "You can't do this! It's unconstitutional!" Then I mouthed off to the other cop.
" You're just doing this to get money for your municipality!!!" Turns out, my registration was expired too I could have driven away with a warning if I played my cards right. They impounded my truck, and I ran around with my tail between my legs getting a taxi and paying fines. Racket? Injustice? The impound lot got my money and so did the town. I rectified that situation by the end of the day, now I keep my face shut.

For the most part the cowards I refer to are the ones that ran to Canada, to leave your country rather than serve is unforgivable in my book. As Fred pointed out there were many other things that one could do to support the troops, many are not cut out for service & never would be, I understand that. But Dann where do you get this idea that only a republican serves? I did try for the first Gulf War & was rather politely informed I was too old but thanked anyway. I know I could have whipped that requiters ass.
Almost forgot about the ones that didn't cut & run, first you have the Nugent type that we won't even get into but graduating in 65 I was in prime time, had many friends that were already in college & changed their studies for a deferment & others that got married to stay out & then had kids when they started taking married without. It's always easy to say years afterward that well we shouldn't have been there anyway or any # of other reasons one can come up with. The bottom line is at that given time you only know what is known then & if your country calls & you fail to answer then your pretty much a coward & I don't even so much care except for the ones that refuse to admit to it.

I just feel that a hero would not have a need to concern himself with the actions of cowards. And I'd still like to know in what capacity you would serve your country. IMO, you do a disservice to it when virtually all of your past links refer to far left wing sites and opinions. You are the one who railed against coal miners and accused the mine of coercion in the heated discussions, before the sinister enemy of freedom got back in power. Go ahead and have your cake and eat it too. We know how you roll. I'm sorry you can't recognize the real enemies of freedom. You identify with them since they too despise free enterprise and resent the success of others.
You are the one who despises Reagan, the guy that had the fortitude to stifle the USSR and communism. I wonder what you think of Patton, and MacArthur. You actually assist the enemies of freedom and then claim a place among American patriots. Even as the cancer of liberalism gains an ever increasing momentum in the the destruction of America.
You vehemently opposed Romney, who wanted to keep and strengthen our military forces. You seem to fully support the guy that intends to weaken our military, evean as our enemies steadfastly increase theirs. You have showed no worry for the sanctity of your firearms, since no one has physically confiscated them, yet. In the light of current events, even as the enemies of the country and the 2nd ammendment encroach on Americans, most of us are fully concerned and alarmed.
Please, tell me you're a patriot again despite all indications to the contrary.

Dann, I don't know what your even talking about or where your trying to go, saying I use left sites would be the same as your using right but there is some truth or lies in both so whats the difference? I do think Reagan was one of the worse things that ever happened to the country, IMO we still haven't recovered from his policies but there again that's IMO. You have a right to yours as well just because mine differs from yours I still say you have that right, there is a big difference in that I believe that both sides have made some mistakes but you only one. If a known mistake isn't corrected by the other party when in power then it's both sides fault, again IMO. For you it's only one forever & ever, I have learned from your posts that you are an equal opportunity hater, I just can't figure out who you don't hate. Despite all that I have nothing against you, we just have different opinions no big deal, as I told you before be careful with the hate thing as it can become all consuming, chill out & take thing as they come, worry about that which you can control & ride out that which you can't.
