Call Ahead

Well I've been real buisy, coal bin getting real low, so I made a quick trip to Mt.Carnel for the good stuff and did I feel a pain in my gut when I drove by the bins to find the space normally occupied by pea coal as empty as old mother hubbards cuboard. Not even an old bone, what was I to do ??? Well went to the scale and said " I NEED PEA" They can't process when it's this cold, so I picked up some buck. Low and behold, It burns and seems to be doing quite well. It was late in the day so I didn't hook up the trailer for fear of not making it their in time, must of been an omen. I have 1.2 ton, normally I do 1 3/4 in the truck, but fear of having trouble left me too say "thats enough"

Buck is perfectly fine...and the guys that have been running them for decades will agree. If you notice any puffbacks you will need to admit extra air through the cover plate.

I still have some pea in the corners or the bin. I figured if I had problems I would mix the 2, so far it's a go with the buck. The old pea that's in the corners if from other sources other than Mt.Carmel, and when burning, I could see the difference, it would seem to ash over (dull) from the view port.

Off the side of topic, but I talked to an old neighbor, he said they got coal from a black diamond near route 61 and 54 intersection for $130/ton Is he full of fluff and stuff (SHITY) or what ?
