Just picked up some coal

Coal bin is running low, so I picked up .58 of a ton of rice from Back Moutain coal sales on rt 309 , $118.00 . Looks just as good as when they delivered in Sept. 3.5 tons should have got 4.5 tons oh well will most likely going back for a little more at the end of month.

Last I saw Hudson was running a special in the Fall for $165 per ton picked up. If you take 92 you can be there in about 45 minutes from Tunkhannock . Of course if you know the back roads to get to Falls it's even quicker.

Do they deliver, and what is the quality? My rice came out of Stockton and really burned good this winter. That would be a great price even if they tacked on 15 bucks a ton for delivery, if I remember correctly it was 215 a ton delivered when I got it in September.

I haven't had any coal from them for years but I wouldn't hesitate calling them. When I was delivering coal I purchased from them almost exclusively.

You'd have to call for delivery rates but it's going to be more than $15 tacked on, Should be very competitive with the $215 though.

ihatewood are you happy with the quality from back mountain? I am pretty close to them and will need a little more to get me through the next month I may try out about a half ton.
