List of stoker manufacturers over the years

Here is a list of stoker manufacturers that I came up with. Maybe the forum will think of additional ones. I remember growing up we had a Spencer boiler fired with an EFM stoker unit with an automatic asher. (Steam)

I just got done working on a spencer/heater boiler the other day. Not many of them around any more. The welder I work with worked for spencer in the 60's up until they closed.

I don't know if this was a stoker furnace, but my Mom tells me about when she was little living on the farm (in the 50's), her Dad had a big coal furnace installed to heat the whole house. She remembers there were lots of ducts and automated contraptions with chains to open and close them. When her Mom would turn the heat up she'd go down to the basement to watch all that stuff work.

She said she remembers seeing a heart shape on the stove and on the grates as if that was part of their logo. I can't remember if she remembered the mfgr name but I'll try to ask her next time I see her.

It was probably a Holland Furnace. They had heart shaped draft controls.

You're right. I asked her today and she said it was a Holland. I also showed her the pictures from that other thread and she said from her memory it looked similar to that one but not exactly the same.
