My 01 Silverado has performed very well with these tires in 2 wheel drive and even better in 4wheel. I would buy these again and have reccomended these to others.
It's good to hear some encouraging news on these tires jpd. I really did my homework on them. I had a nice set of 5 spoke 18" rims that I wanted to put these on. The rims really looked great on the truck. Unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on the 18" AT2's. Everyone was out of stock for weeks. So I end up using the 17" rims which still look pretty good. It was good in a way, I saved 50 bucks a tire, plus gained some oomph and gas mileage by losing the rotational mass of the heavier rims and tires.
Used to live in S.Canaan so I know what you mean about the roads in these parts. All turns, Ups and Downs. It can be a lot of fun driving those roads, but the chip and tar surface is tough. Not to mention at that time I was driving a '95 Dodge 1/2 ton reg cab short box. Very short wheelbase and a solid front axle. Thing rode like a jeep but it was as durable as hell.
I see we're neighbors. I'm in the Mid-Valley area.
