Hello,

As the topic states this is how to harvest a TB Hive. It's easy because you harvest each TBar as it becomes ready and never have to face an overwhelming task of harvesting 60 or more pounds or more at a time. I harvested this batch as liquid honey because the comb was messed up but in the future I will harvest comb honey because that's considered a more prestigious style for selling or gifts. The left over wax can be sold or made in a variety of products. Take care, Lisa

This is the honey comb I messed up in my first try to transfer the hive. I ended up with about 2 lbs of honey which I fed back to the bees to make their job easier to prepare for the spring honey flow. Yes I could have eaten it but this honey was made from sugar water and not real honey. I will melt the left over comb and make something out of it, candles or chapstick or soap. That's all you do to harvest a Top Bar hive.
