Can I install the T horizontal off the back of my stove?

Can I install the T horizontal off the back of my stove?

Hello,
My height is limited and it would be ideal to put a T horizontally directly on the back of the stove instead of vertically. One end of the T would have my barometric damper the other would go to an elbow and stove pipe up into my fireplace chimney.

CH, either finish your profile or post a pix or 2 of the stove. We're good, but we're not mind readers :) Really, nobody'll steal ya if you go the --finish your profile-- route ;)

I'm not clear about the position you are talking about, do you mean damper out the side of horizontal run or damper off the end of a horizontal run. Off the end of a horizontal run is not allowed as particulate with horizontal momentum could travel out the damper rather than up the stack.
