buck 24,
Very  about having $$$$, but that isn't the hard Canadian realty.
In fact your idea about a cast iron bed for the cats is one of the best one I got on the forum :D ...
Now I just need some photos, exemples, models....then I will work on that . After I will make a lot of Canadian $$$$$$$$$$$with that ""invention"".
I will probably send you a certain % of the profits and will ask certainly one % for the expenses :

A good cat bed would be an old fireplace coal grate. With some padding inside the grate of course for your feline friends! :D

Hum, I think that I went too fast on the offer I made to buck24
Your  is a good one. The only bad thing is the C.L. ad says there is a crack on the back of it  ... so could be dangerous for my cats
Anyway, $100.00 US is an enormous load of bills for a poor Canadian man !
I keep that in mind and thank you for the reply.

The only cat bed is the one the cat selects, not what you select.

Very Sage franco like always.
In fact that Costco card box is not supposed to be there but the big cat seems to love it.
So we will see who is the boss in the house :) :D

After 5 burning months in a row, 150 days non-stop to be exact :) , one match, the Sunny does a wonderful job. In fact better than expected and it is very easy to control, clean to use and eats not very much anth, I don't have the number of bags burned this Winter but even with a so steady cold temp. the total of bags will be about the same as last year.
Still about one burning month and the math will tell the final score. The worst about temp. is ""probably"" done. :?:

Absolutly.
2,200 Sqf. The stove sits on the main floor and a blower (from an old central furnace, running very slowly) in the basement pulls the heat from the faux-foyer to the office in the basement. Then the central electric air Handler does the rest by sending the air all around the house. The electric furnace's blower runs 24/24 at low speed but doesn't heat. About +/- one degree from one floor to the other for the 3 levels.
For the one you want, I should get a "rendez-vous" with you to be shure you'r at home for delivery :) :D

And if anyone still thinks coal is messy, it's because they haven't seen pictures of nortcan's house. ;)

Hi all.
This year, we don't read much about ""The one match club"". Anyway, the Sunnyside made the 6 months burning, non-stop on one single match. Very economical on the match and on the anthracite. Not done the exact math for the anth buned but close to the last year numbers.
Still burning to keep the house confortable but on the very low speed.
