John... great, clean, modern looking install (just what new stove users love seeing!)... if you included a little "pop" of something none neutral in color (bright red accent, lime green planter with Italian glass vase, etc.) this would be a fantastic setting for a sample "display thread".

Thanks for the idea. I am not done yet as I need to pour the concrete base and put trim around the tile in the spring, then some color. Maybe for Christmas I will decorate around there with some color. I think the idea of a "display thread" is great.

Well, our little bundle of joy arrived. Healthy baby girl, 11:30am today! The only thing I was nervous about besides the delivery was my coal fire!!! I tended the stove before we left for the hospital at 7pm Friday night and didn't get a chance to get home until 2pm today. Almost a 24 hour burn! I was expecting to come home to a cold stove full of ash, instead I found a stove chugging along with plenty of fuel left. I did have it idled way down to conserve coal, it still kept the house comfy. I love this stove! Nothing like having a warm place to bring our new additon home to!

I believe if you look in the "Best of Coal stoves" category, there's something already there. Titled "Pics of your stove" if I'm remembering correctly.
