So today we stop a moment to say

:happy:EasyRay :band: :rimshot:

This day is special not just for you but this was the day that OJ was acquitted, East and West Germany were reunited, President Lincoln set the date for Thanksgiving, and our beloved Congress created the War Revenue Act to fund WW1. And as we know, taxes have never been the same since.

You also share a birthday with rocker Tommy Lee, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Chubby Checker. Now go out and twist !!!!

But sadly on this day we lost Roddy McDowell, Janet Leigh, and Woody Guthrie.

Now go out and enjoy your special day !!!!!!

Wow, the birthday keep on coming.............

So for today we say :

:happy:highlander, bethlehemcoalburner, and newbie LSStorm07 :band: :rimshot:

This day is special because on this day President Harry Truman became the first president to broadcast on TV, the Dalton gang committed their last attempted robbery (it failed and they died), the details of the IRAN-Contra affair were revealed, a Cuban defector stole a MIG and landed it at Homestead Airbase undetected while Air Force 1 was parked there (oops), and finally the first ever case of espionage against the US was revealed by President George Washington.

Notable birthdays include comedian Bernie Mac, cook Emerill Lagasse, and Ray Kroc of the golden arches fame.

But sadly on this date we lost Steve Jobs and Rodney "I get no respect" Dangerfield.

Enjoy your day.

Another day, another birthday greeting.

:happy:tikigeorge :band: :rimshot:

You share this special day with the birth of the U.S. Naval Academy, the day Spiro Agnew resigned, and the day that the 1st Cavalry Division commenced operations over in VN. The birth of the use of helicopters in deploying men and materials to inaccessible areas. And on this day President Woodrow Wilson sent a message from the White House via telegraph setting off explosives that effectively completed the Panama Canal.

You also share this birthday with Brett Favre, Tanya Tucker, dancer Ben Vereen, Dale Earnhart, Jr. and rock star David Lee Roth.

But sadly this was also the day we lost Christopher Reeve (the original Superman), Yul Brenner, and Orson Wells.

So get out there and celebrate !!!!!!

Rick, you're showing my age. I think the original Superman was George Reeves.

First off Mike, you are correct. I don't know why I typed Christopher instead of his dad George.

That said, today we say:

:happy:bksaun :band: :rimshot:

Wow funny BK how in your tag line you mention whiskey as it was on this day the U.S. Prohibition Commission stated that Pres Calvin Coolidge was going to enforce the Volstead Act which thereby would prohibit the production, sale , and transporting of alcohol.

Also on this day the cornerstone was laid for the White House, the first congress authorized the creation of the first Naval Force, and for my VN veterans, today way back in 1966 Robert McNamara stated in a press release that the VN war was "progressing satisfactorily since 1965." We all know how well that statement proved to be...................

You also share a birthday with Paul Simon, Margaret Thatcher, Marie Osmond, and Jerry Rice.

But sadly on this day we lost Milton Hershey and Ed Sullivan.

So go out there and toast your day and stick out a middle finger towards prohibition. :shots:

Say what ??????????

Anyhow today we say:

:happy:LDPosse :band: :rimshot:

Today is the date that Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier, the Cuban Missile Crisis began, Teddy Roosevelt suffered a graze wound right before delivering a campaign speech, and the day that George Eastman was awarded a patent for photographic film.

You share this birthday with Dwight Eisenhower, Floyd Landis (druggie bicyclist), Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks and 007 Roger Moore.

But this date is the same date we lost Bing Crosby, Errol Flynn, and F.M. Erwin Rommel committed suicide rather that face charges for plotting against Adolf Hitler.

Well I see the early bird got one over on me.

Let me add the following official words:

Guess what day it is ??? Hey Mike, Mike what day is it ????

:happy:mkline and SMITTY :band: :rimshot: :shots:

What a day it is..........................

This is the same date that Orson Wells did his famous "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, the same day that the Perfect Storm hit New England and the Canadian Maritimes and the same day that Muhammed Ali defeated George Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle.

We lost Robert Goulet and Steve Allen on this date as well.

And you share a birthday with Henry "the Fonz" Winkler and Grace Slick of the Jefferson Airplane. Old Gracie admits to trying to drug Richard Nixon so he would ease up on that damn VietNam thing he had going on...............

So in honor of Grace, and the young at the time of this video Freetown Fred who probably was growing mushrooms....................
