Temp precision Wood vs coal

Temp precision Wood vs coal

PostBy: Ndcoal On: Tue Feb 11, 2014 12:47 pm

My hand fed furnace has thermostat controlled forced draft.

With wood, I find I can easily overshoot my desired temp and get a bit warm.

With coal, the house temp is generally exactly what I set at the thermostat.

Winner: coal!!

No question about it.. Coal wins Hands DOWN for long natural steady temps with or without thermostat controlled forced draft.

I was wondering how far this thread would make it. Not even a question here, coal wins.
