Sweet looking boiler. Based on the picture indicating temps in degrees C, I wonder if it is made overseas?

It is interesting, but would be better not having a hopper and just having a low angle auger.

Why lift fuel by hand when you can just drop it on a small auger box with a pallet jack?

Why lift 4 days of fuel at a time by hand when you can put on a months worth with no lifting?

On the other hand, I guess it does save on gym membership fees.

I guess it's a lot of boiler for a reasonably small amount of money but my concerns would be reliability and parts availability. Anybody going to give it a try??? Allegedly burns, coal and wood pellets.

I don't disagree...but like the mfgr. here, no other mfgr. can provide what you describe either.
But, as you have discovered, nothing is impossible with some thought and creativity. :)
So it is all the same...personal ingenuity and some custom fabrication is only way to have such a set-up as you describe...It certainly is not a short coming of any one product design.

It would be interesting to find out what settings they change to when burning pellets. Do they vary the air and the auger speed? As there is no mention of auto-ignition on pellets, does it vary auger speed to keep a fire or does it use a hold-fire fluff timer?
