Larry the amount of coal they have taken is often described as they "tickled it a little" . The anthracite industry has been in decline since the 20's and it has nothing to do with how much coal is left. While there is plenty of coal the issue now particularly in the Wyoming Valley is that a lot of it can't be mined because of development. There is still plenty of areas left especially considering the low demand, I'm not concerned about the supply going into the future.

I remember it washing up on the beaches of Alaska when I lived up there. People would burn it in their campfires. Alaska is awash in coal but finding a market for it and fighting off environmentalists keeps them from exploiting what they have.
