From website:
Meeting Stringent Specifications
• Low sulfur: <0.75%
• Ultra low-volatile matter: 3.5 – 4.5%
• High fixed carbon: 83 – 90%
• Ash: 7.5 – 12%

Sounds like the phone has rang enough to justify a price increase. Pricing may also depend on coal size and quantity.

Terry at Lehigh is great to deal with. He just shipped 22 tons to Eastern Ct. for the second time. 140. a ton and I pay the trucker.
This load is buck, burns great, red ash. Even on the muggy hot days last week, no timer, no hint of sulfur smell, and no out-fires.

If you want to go bulk, try them. Good people!

Last November I bought about 4 tons from them. The price was $140 then, but they charged me $160 since I did not get a full load.... As in 22 tons, Next best price was $170 a ton, so I did not complain. Great heat out put, ash was reasonable.

Don't know but you might be getting a better price on the buck. Demand for that isn't that high. Made up a few percent of my sales.

Richard, you may be right. IDK ? I used their rice last year, it was very nice and 140. per ton.
This year I wanted to try buck to get a bit less fines, and choke the air a little on my EFM. May help by pushing less heat past the boiler and out my flue . ...... Not sure on that ? I'll let you know when it gets cold again.

23 tons of Lehigh rice showed up this morning. Great looking product, already put it in the bin. Should see how it burns in a few days.

I bought 23tons of Lehigh rice last year, $150 a ton. Terry is great to deal with. I had a few oversized pieces , so this year I screened it putting into my bin. No sulfur smell , good BTU, great to deal with.
