Omg.. I had a C-64 when I was a teenager haha.. things have come a long way in a short amount of time. At that time (mid - late 80's) the internet wasn't born yet but they had BBSs that you could dial up and connect to, one person at a time. I would chat session (that's what they called texting back then) with the operator. It was really cool lol..

Mine is also pretty basic. I just upgraded to Linux Mint 17 yesterday (up from Mint 15). Linux is a clone of UNIX which has far exceeded it in the matters of its desktop capabilities, functionality, and user friendliness. The things needed most by home users and least by network administrators. I'm anti Windows and anti Bill and Linda Gates. Will not use their products, except at work where I'm forced to. With the advent of Windows 8, Linux Mint is now far and away easier to install and use, and it is many times faster than the bloatware that Microsoft generates. Did I mention that it is not affected at all by Windows viruses, and that there are not many Linux viruses (if any)?

My friend had one, he was somewhat of a genius. We parted ways as teenagers. He chose the computer and I chose women and partying. Last I heard he was head of IT at Netflix. :|

I was very tired of my slow computer so 6 months ago I changed computers. RS won't support me anymore although much of their stock is that old. As of May this year they don't even stock 8" floppies! Now I am having trouble running Windows 7 and the virus program won't load. Advice anyone?
