"Thank God, my Apple Jacks are soaked in tears.

Do you remember what happened when someone suggested a 113 bested a #8 at the ninth annual picnic:

"

Simon.

Good thing no one mentioned that a medium-sized kitchen range has even more heat radiating surface area than those big base heaters ! Just think of the mayhem that would have ensued. !

:D

In all seriousness, William, you know that we're just jealous.

I know that 113 can produce some serious heat, but what becomes of your #6 ? It's not getting retired is it ?

William, when you get a chance, can you snap a pic or two from inside the barrel/fire pot?.

William, you had daffodils blooming outside the wall from the # 6 when there was still a foot of snow on the ground . If you put the BIG one there instead, will flowers bloom year-round ?? :)

No the I will never part with the No 6. I may alternate them. When the magazine project gets underway of course I am going to get one for the No 6. I will be associated with that stove for the rest of my life, how could I ever sell it?
Each stove has advantages that the other doesn't have. The No 6 has the prismatic grates that I really like. The 113 and the Crawford have the super efficient suspended fire pot.
Each is excellent. There will be no envious spats at my house between prima donna stoves.

I guess I had better get busy. People are asking for Crawford Videos, etc. and I must oblige. I put some more pictures of the 113. I should have done that anyway.

It's larger than 12 X 15 that sounds like a 111. That's also the dimension of a Crawford 40 I believe. I will have to go back and check.

William, make the video of the 113 when the cold weather comes. Just make sure you're in shorts and have a cold drink in your hand. It's gonna feel like death valley. Trust me!

I don't think Victorian gentlemen wore shorts even on a tennis court.

As I cry into my Apple Jacks about the inadequacy of my #8, I am reminded that dlj' s reminds us of the right stove for the job is the way to go. I also have a brief video sequence of William in casual jeans. It was a shocking sight as he leaned over his Victrola to start a new recording. Shorts might cause a heart attack in this old man, can the next video be William in a top hat and full upper class regalia. Standards have to be maintained.

I made that video at 2 AM just after I came home from work.
The Crawford Videos are in production. The attire shall be appropriate. I assure you.
