This is the title to a local craigslist ad, and I don't know much about the type of stove. Also it appears by the pictures in the ad to be missing the ashpan door, if my eyes aren't deceiving me.

It did get me thinking, but not seriously. I need another project like a hole in the head.

It was listed once at $400, then dropped, I just hope it doesn't end up scrapped. That would be depressing.

that one is overpriced. they are around for $100-$250 range. if the door is missing, it's a part stove, unless someone has a spare door. every time I call for old spare stove parts, no one has what I need. that would be a good one to buy and use for R&D experiments. I don't get the scrap mentality, most times it is desperation due to space limits, finance, haste, or just plain ignorance bordering on stupidity. the junkyards are crushing all the vintage 1920's-1960's cars just to get the money lately, too. sad.
