Can you burn stove coal in a Hitzer 50-93 with the hopper in? I can get a free ton+ of stove coal. Just have to haul out of persons basement. I know I can mix nut/stove but im kinda lazy to mix. Just want to handle once.

It will work fine if the fire box in that stove is deep enough. I don't know how much depth of coal you can get in one these. If it is less than 10 inches, I would think it might not work to well.
The only thing to do is get a bag's worth of it and try it out first.

What WS said :) If it were me, I'd wait till the COLD weather gets here & you have a constant HOT bed. I'm using my nut/stove mix now & doing real well, I would have no problem using just stove come later.

Get it. At a minimum you can burn it mixed with nut.

I tried stove coal in my 50-93 last Winter & it didn't feed well in the hopper even when mixed with nut. No idea what the brand was as the bags only stated "Deep Mined" but this stuff was huge! I'd like to try some Blaschak stove but haven't been able to find single bags around here & I'm not about to buy a pallet load until I see how well it works.
