And you guys in Mass. think you have high taxes. I had my pro-pain tank filled a month ago while it was still down at the summer price. It was $4.29 a gal.

Wow man that SUCKS ....

I never knew how bad NY & NJ were until I got on this forum!

States with the most communist-leaning governments always seem to be the ones with the most EXPENSIVE costs of living to be found anywhere ....

I think even those types of governments could learn new levels of greed and waste if they took a long look at how Albany runs this state . . . . . . slowly into the ground.

2x, NY sux and I have organized my life so that I use very little propane and so cost no longer matters. If it goes even higher I will use even less.

Just make sure to fill all of your tanks before election day as prices will go up after that.

the last time I bought propane was 2004 and I still have almost 250 gallons left, lol. I hope its a lifetime supply. Gasoline is what keeps me broke.

I'm "locked in" at $1.87 ($1.92 with tax) per gallon for a minimum buy of 500 gallons this year. Even during the shortages last year, my propane dealer was able to service all their customers at the price they locked in for the year. I'm burning propane now, until the daytime temps are in the 30s, and night lows in the 20s. Then it'll be fire up the wood/coal furnace and be toasty warm!! :D :D

Here in southwest Ohio the prce varies a lot depending who you buy it from.

Two of my coworkers and myself all bought propain about the same time. I paid $1.84 a gallon from Earhart. One coworker paid $2.89 from Moulton and the other paid $3.49 from Suburban. What a crock of *censored*. The only thing I plan on using propain for this winter is hot water and the first coworker is switching from Moulton to Earhart and just finished installing a Hitzer 503 the othe coworker I'm still working on.

We locked in at $2.05/ gallon over the summer. I also upgraded my magnum stoker to a Koker hot air furnace and purchased 5 tons of rice coal. Even at that lock-in price, coal is still cheaper. I am hoping to not to use much propane this year. Making hot water using coal is my next project.

That article was written in March '14. Prices have gone down all summer according to the LP I delivered a couple weeks ago.

I filled my LP tank two weeks ago and just bought my 6 tons of coal though... with dreams of still having 65% left next spring to finish off the spring shoulder months.
