I have for the last year or so been building a shop press. I started this project to do another project, which I did with another press.

As the press stands in the photos it weighs in north of 450#. When it is fully dressed out with table, table pins, power head assembly, press plates and counter balance weights, it will weigh in north of 1000#.
I have to finish making the spacers for the table and then build the power head assembly. I have the material for temporary table pins, but I want to order 4140 Prehardened for the permanent pins. The pins are 1-1/4"
I am hoping to have most of the work done on it before long here so I can build my press brake. The brake is is needed to make new "wings" for my chain elevator, I picked up the elevator to use with my buzz rig and logsplitter. It works well to move the wood from either to a pile. One less time handling it.
Once I get around to converting to coal I can use it to fill the coal bin.
