Coal right now is hard to get. There seems to be shortages in many places. I too have been unable to get coal in my area of MA. Opinions abound as to why this is so. The bottom line is if you can find it, you should buy it. Nobody knows when the shortage will end. The take away from all this is to order your coal in the spring and hope you can find it over the next 6 months before the cold hits.

Good luck in your quest.

Vin.

shoman70,have you checked with Harmony ? I just got off the phone with them, how many hundred tons do you need was their reply when I asked if they have a good supply.Their number is 570-339-4090, they have someone they call to do the delivery,i do not know delivery time frame,it is the busy time of yr for coal delivery as too many of us wait till the last minute to get our coal.Found out they do not deliver bagged coal, you are not that far from them, rent a pickup or van & pick a ton up yourself at 225/ton....40# bags x 50 bags/pallet = 1 ton

Exactly, there are zero shortages, just some minor bottlenecks in the supply chain this time of year...the same as every other year.

Coal is hit and miss in the Thumb of Michigan.I drove 200 miles round trip to K/W.Feeds to buy the last 50 bags of stove coal the Ken had.I'll be jumping on the next shipment to Southeast Heatmore when it comes in.90 Miles round trip.
