Can someone tell me how to wire this honeywell timer to the 520? There are two black wires in the timer that go to the timer motor and the other two red wires go to a switch. I can't seem to find any wiring diagrams for this timer.

I'll have to look in the old manuals and post that. Check back.

I can't help you with the EFM side of it but this link will take you to a .pdf file of Honeywell products and wiring diagrams.
<dead link>
Page 51 of the doc shows a hookup schematic for the timer.
Pin 1-Line hot
Pin2-Line neutral
Pin3-Jumpered to pin 1
Pin4-Switched hot to burner.
That's for a S400A, not sure if they're the same. Heck, this post may be absolutely useless

See this file.
In a non-oil burner option, #4 terminal goes to ZR of the aquastat. #1 is L1 and #2 is nuetral, L2.
Honeywell is wired the same as the Wilburt.

I see, you don't have individual connection points with screws. Still pretty much wired the same, one black is line jumpered to one red. The other black is neutral with the other red being your switched hot wire.
Gotta love how much information is available with just a question no?

Before you $hitcan that timer what's wrong with it? If it's the timer motor StokerScot just brought me one that was locked up from sitting apparently. Take your time and take it apart.
Be careful of the tiny, and I do mean tiny, transformer wires. If the timer motor looks like it's encased in aluminum it's the same one as I have. I put a drop of light oil just below the gear and let it sit for a day. Next day I grabbed the gear with a pair of pliers and gently started working it back and forth. It gave up pretty easily.
I put it back together and it seems to work fine, ran for a couple hours that way.
My biggest problem was the transformer wiring was hardwired to the screws for connection and removing the transformer pulled the tabs out of the wrapping/epoxy. I had to put my old lady glasses (Rite Aid Specials) on to see the wire for soldering. Sucks getting old.

When I looked at the dial to see if the timer was turning I could see a spring between the dial and the side of the timer. When I removed the dial the spring and a piece of black plastic fell out. I sucks to find out that the timer is junk after this post to install the timer.

Is the plastic piece broken? Maybe you can epoxy it back together. Won't hurt to take it apart and see what's going on at this point. Maybe it's still servicable.

If you have an electrical background you can use a electronic timer that McMaster has. http://www.mcmaster.com/#repeat-cycle-relays/=9nbseb You can use 7630k14 or 7630k16. It's cheap and should work well in this application.

Does anyone have a picture of where the spring actually hooks to the switch? I opened my cover to do some troubleshooting and found the spring laying inside not connected. I can see where it mounts to the actuator the trippers hit but cannot see where it hooks to the top actuator. Any help apreciated .
