drove from Pgh to Harrisburgh to do a small chimney repair job for some good friends and picked up coal at Tamaqua since I had the dump truck.

3.2 Tons of nut. Was surprised at how well the truck handled the weight on the long trip home.
Had interesting conversation with the scale man and the guy running the skid loader. 750# per scoop from the loader. The scales guy told us that the Co. that owns the breaker has gotten requests for millions of tons to be delivered overseas and mentioned that Russia is exporting huge quantities of anthracite coal to the U.S. He said it is being subsidized so heavily by the Russian Govt. that the final delivered price is way below what Lehigh's parent co could afford to sell it domestically. Its crazy that we ship huge quantities to europe ans china while russia ships huge quantities to the US.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how ill-conceived it may be...

He must be one severely mindless individual to put those two things on the same side of the page! Of course, we are talking Pa. where my relatives 'were born Democrats and will die Democrats', PERIOD! DFI's
