looking to start using our wood/coal potbelly for heating the house and having trouble finding where to get coal in the St Louis area that we can use. we are beginners at this and have read A LOT of information, this board has been very helpful. although we have several coal mines in the area we are having difficulty navigating where to get our first few "bags" to see if this is the way we want to go. any help would be appreciated.

Anthracite will be both hard to find and very expensive that far west.

I am not sure if he has any left, but this is the contact info for my Amish supplier, $335 per pallet.

If they are out, try calling Blaschak coal and asking for dealers in your area. Reading coal shows dealers on a map on their website. Some pictures of your setup and you will get a lot of suggestions. Some potbellies arent real good with anthracite without modification.
