Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Stokermatic

Post by lowbudget » Fri. Oct. 17, 2014 7:45 am

I just bought this stove off the net and won't be able to pick it up for 2 1/2 weeks due to work. Does anyone have any idea what model Stokermatic it is? What the BTU output is? Thanks Mike

Here are some more interesting links. One has a manual posted in it.

Stokermatic or Combustioneer Coal Stove Links?

Stokermatic Superheater Manual & Over-Fire Air Jet

Value for a Used Stokermatic?

Stokermatic Into Existing HVAC Duct???

I don't have any experiance with them so I won't comment. There has been a lot of traffic on the forum lately about Bit coal stokers though.

Rob the link didn't work for me. Don I have already did a stokermatic search and read all of those before I posted. I also read and printed out the manual yesterday. I was hoping someone had seen this model before. I can just wait until I get home and pick it up, but you know how it is being a big kid with a new toy. lol

Yes, I know EXACTLY how that is!

All I can add is, I have seen a few of these on craigslist over the years, other than that, I don't know squat about how they work. And I have no knowlage of burning Bit coal.

You are going to burn Bit coal in it right?

Yup bit coal as that is all that is around....I think. With all the mines around it should be reasonable. I might have to drive a couple hours to get a good deal on it but that's just part of the adventure.

Thanks, it turns out I have already read that one also. I bought the stove 2 days ago and have been searching this forum and the internet ever since. You might say I'm stoked about it....pun intended.

These stoves are rated at about 80000-90000 BTU per hour.

They are good heaters for garages, cabins or small homes with an open floor plan. They are easy to take care of and will last a long time if maintained properly (be sure the transmission has oil).

Pretty much everything you need to know about running this stove is in that manual but if you have any questions feel free to ask ;)

That's good to know as it should work for what I have planned.
Thanks Mike

I don't know anything about those but doggone if that doesn't look a lot like my 2 Combustioneer 77b stoves. Looks to be in pretty good condition, too.

The way it looked was one of the reasons I grabbed it. I probably could have worked on the price but 200.00 is just a good weekend at the bar so I'll take the chance. LOL
