Looking to buy some coal from a different source. Have plenty of good burning in stock but want to expand my knowledge of diffent veins and characteristics burning in my setup. I'm hearing mt. Carmel area has some great coal and very very affordable. Any thoughts.

I live in Mt Carmel and go to DiRenzo in Minersville. It's worth the trip for me.

You have the old UAE site on 5th street out of town on the right. About 1/2 way to Centralia just past the soccer field. If you get to the stripping site you went too far.

Atlas Anthracite has good coal right now. $160 per ton

Just in case anyone missed the update from Lehigh ,they have their buck at $130/ton. CORRECTION !!!!!!!!!!!! Lehigh price for Buck is $140/ton,sorry for the incorrect figure,i took the post from dave1234 on the Lehigh review where he stated that Lehigh has buck at $30/ton less than rice ,i subtracted that from the Lehigh ad for rice at $160. I should have double checked the figures b4 posting :oops:
