Hello, I have a friend that is looking to set his controls on a leisure line wl110 boiler. I'm going over tomm. to try to help him out and I was looking for some owners that could give me some input on how to set aqua stat and any other controls that need to be adjusted. He told me that fan on boiler runs a lot and that the temp in house is too hot 77. Thermostat is set for 70?? Any Input would be greatly appreciated. Gooday, Joe

Might add that the "hold fire timer" can add extra heat if not set low enough.
Another cause (related to timer settings above) can be the frequent activation of the "dump zone" ...and this seems to plague this model often times.
Dumps do NOT care what the T-stat is set at.
So, you see it may not have much to do w/ aquastat settings after all.

McGiever, would you know how the hold fire is adjusted is it 1-5 LOW-HIGH ? What is high and low and diff. usually set for this mild part of year on this boiler? I will have more answers when I visit tomm. to see how he has unit setup. I'm wondering where his dump zone is setup? any more input would be great. thanks ,Joe

I suspect the thermostat over temp is caused by excess dumping. Timer excess is a known source of causing dumps...can read of this talk on these pages here. It is a fine line between dumping and having an out-fire.
