Don't let them talk you into that sissy anthracite coal! You are surrounded by bit coal, just get you a nice new bit coal furnace, old school type, made to burn it.

I burned bit in a land far far away in my youth. Every morning I get up and thank God my c rappy part of the world is fairly close to NEPA. Geography is a wonderful thing. Meanwhile, back to the stove.

I sure am glad to be near anthracite coal supplies.I burned way too much wood,i am ready to burn some hard fuel for many yrs. NO smoke,little smell,little fuss,little mess,lots of heat,what more could I want.

Wow. the furnace is In and out before I could help ya at all. I have a US Stove, the Clayton model, and I've been burning bituminous coal in mine for several years.

Sorry I wasn't here to help, I'm an over the road truck driver and I'm gone all week.

I also have a clayton model for 4 years now, and I love burning coal in it. 3200 hundred sq. ft.. Always 72-75 degrees.
