I came across this on Cl and he has done some interesting mods to the stove.
It lookss like he added an ash auger, and a second combustion fan with a cold air return?

I don't think that is a second combustion fan strapped to the top door. I believe he built and added another heat exchanger that hangs over the burn plate when the door is closed.. It appears it runs upwards to add to his heating supply.

That is a heat exchanger on the front. The blower pulls in air and blows out the hot air through the flex duct. The holes on top of the exchanger are actually tubes from top to bottom allowing heat to flow through from the stove. He also extended the rear to transfer the heat from the auger to the convection blower, while cooling the ashes on the way out! Very creative!!!

It is very creative and looks to be well fabricated. But, Dang, he could have just bought a furnace instead!

I'm assuming that's why it's for sale. The kokers are about the same price. if you have the clearance that's the way to go.

Some guys are only happy when they are "improving" their unit,if he had bought the proper furnace to begin with he wouldn't have needed to tweak it.StokerDon wrote:It is very creative and looks to be well fabricated. But, Dang, he could have just bought a furnace instead!
