Stove from early 20s model 39B, serial 695877 with donut, immaculate. Anybody have any thoughts.

toothy If you have the date right,then going by the pics that you posted of yourself in another thread,i would venture to say that the stove is older than you are. Imagine the changes since its birth !! toothy

Would like to see the fire pot lined for much more uniform burn especially at low firing rates.

These are not the sophisticated jewels you have already invested in.
The Heatrolas are basically for Bituminous and are pretty much raw heat makers. They are effective and will heat a warehouse, but; they aren't that efficient. Not compared to any of the base heaters you have already.

Thank you guys, I am trying to help a friend who's wife just lost her job and he has physical issues.... Oh well, onto the next idea.

It's probley an Estate model, more efficient then your Hitzer.
The question is it in good shape, (fire brick, grates) and cheap.
If all you have to spend is a few hundred dollars or so what else is there out there.
Maybe Russo, Gabralter, sun something but I don't know anything about them.
It's not fair to compare this to a BB that cost thousands.
