I hadn't thought about reversing the flow with house pressure. When I reversed the pump, I got nothing, but I think my house pressure is higher than that. I removed inlet and outlet lines from the coil, and the inlet side looks clean. I can see Howe's Cavern just inside the outlet side. I will try house pressure on the outlet side just to see if I can get any flow at all. If so, I can hook my pump back up and let the acid do it's thing.

I have been unable to force acid to flow through the coil as yet. At this point, I am going to wait until I can cool the boiler in the spring and see if I have enough room to remove the coil from the boiler. Once I have it outside, I will have more options to clear it enough to start the acid flowing.
The pump I have at my disposal is a 12v model from an ATV sprayer, and includes an encapsulated pressure switch -
If necessary, I can take it outside, pour as much acid into one side as possible, and then use air to force it through. Once there is a clear path I can flush it for a bit with the pump and acid.

I was able to get air through it today from my air compressor. I'll have to get the pump back again so I can try acid again.
Once I get it cleared, I will have to see about getting a water softener. Nornew gas tested my well a couple years ago and the hardness was 111mg/L at that time, so it is probably justified.
