Whelp, I got my new .... yes, NEW .... bumper for the Blazer, straight from china. It wasn't made of bamboo, but out of some metal that couldn't even withstand the trip across the ocean, let alone ONE WINTER on the salty roads of MA!!

These are pics I took immediately after opening the box .... :wtf: :bang:

The 26 year old OEM isn't even 1/10th as bad as this!!!!!

They just got a "nicely worded" email from me. Last time this happened was with my Polaris ATV radiator. Thing arrived all bent up ... then I bent it back with my fingers! NOPE! Not using that! I bitched, and they refunded my money and told be to keep it - cost too much to return! :funny:

Crazy world we live in ....

Smitty,
Remember the 'cash for clunkers' where all those autos went over there on a boat! That part looks like it had a 'round trip ticket'. Sad, just frickin' sad, sad, sad.

SMITTY; they are trying to do you a favor. They know that an older vehicle in your part of the country would look very strange with a shiny new bumper so they distressed it to match the rest of the truck.

I bet your neighbors pay big bucks for distressed furniture… same thing.

Smitty, your standards must be a little too high to fit in with this modern NAFTA world. Too bad you are a proper American with older American values. Give it a generation or two and the next paying publics will not have enough background to know quality when it bites them in the a#&. [tetnus shot excluded] Mike

I appreciate that Mike. Yeah, it's a damn sad state of affairs that we are in today. I pray for the future of this Nation ....
