At one point Matt was talking about a new convection blower for the Hearth model. Just wondering if that ever came to pass. Mine has always been noisy (airflow noise) and I don't believe it moves enough air.
Thanks

We have a different one we have been trying. The high pitched motor whine is not there but airflow is pretty much the same.

Thanks for the reply. Mine isn't whining from the motor, never has anyway. It's the airflow path/restriction/pressure causing the sound. I was going to try an external blower (higher CFM) with a larger fan that spins at a slower RPM. That along with the requisite ducting I hoped would allow for less pressure, more flow and much less noise. I just never got around to trying it. Maybe one of your guys could give it a shot?Flyer5 wrote:We have a different one we have been trying. The high pitched motor whine is not there but airflow is pretty much the same.

Did you change the air path or just the fan?Flyer5 wrote:The new one is quieter but I cannot guarantee it would be enough to justify the cost to replace yours. .
