Oddly enough, even though February was colder for me I burned almost exactly the same amount in Feb as I did in Jan, but I suspect that that's because Feb is three days shorter. HDD were nearly identical (29 more in February) but average temperature was 5 degrees colder.
Either way, February was awful. I am maintaining a ratio of about 1.03 so I'm happy with that. Here's hoping that March will warm up significantly. I'm already going to have to resort to buying bagged.
Nerdy, geek graphs are attached.

I ended up burning the same amount for both months, 2,040 lbs! After scratching my head I looked at last year, I burned 1,960 last February and it wasn't anywhere near as cold as this year. I guess the new boiler is working out better.
Coal consumption is the same but the oil hot water boiler kicked on a whole bunch more this year. I estimate that I have burned probably 50 gallons over this same time last year. That works out to more BTU's need this year than last year. But then again it's colder here this year than last so no surprise.

We burned an extra 7 bags for Feb. - 280 lbs! 57 bags for the month! A new record ... and I'm not real happy about it either. Come on SPRING!!!!
