Good for you Flyer, I get into a exercise routine every now & then but can't seem to keep it going but some is better than none. The trouble here is everything worth going to is near & hour away, I never did smoke & my wife is too good of a cook. However I did lose some when she was laid up with foot surgery & I cooked.

We as a family practice Tang Soo Do . My wife is also a red belt. If people are looking for something fun for a family to do I recommend finding a good school and trying it out. It is intimidating at first. But if it is a good school that feeling will pass quickly. It is very addicting. I also practice some mixed Hapkido. The wife and daughter are not too interested in that. Its a little too rough for them. But every bruise gives reward. Plus the joint locks are just cool.

Go get em Flyer, I still play basketball at least 3 nights a week even though people say I shouldn't......at least with the amount of effort I put into it. I got ya by 10 years and it don't get easier. I would love to have been able to commit to marshal arts and achieve some degree of proficiency years ago, but too busy playing sports that keep score. Whatever it is that makes you make healthy decisions is great. I am on the verge of quitting alcohol to lose weight going into the State tourney in June. That frees me up to drink like a fish when I go to Maine in late July. Once again I will be driving thru coal country and will blow the horn occasionally to all you PA natives...

I do wish I stayed with it years ago. It is much more difficult now. I am 47 but there is a 67 yr old that makes it look easy, so I cannot use age as my excuse. Besides I only have 2 more belts to go before black, that is my goal and maybe even some stripes added to that. I will continue as long as I can as it is very rewarding. At that point in the test my sweat was sweating. But I can do more now physically now than when I was 37.KLook wrote:Go get em Flyer, I still play basketball at least 3 nights a week even though people say I shouldn't......at least with the amount of effort I put into it.
