I stopped by the old UAE site in Mt. Carmel Pa. this afternoon. They had a sign up saying summer sale for June and July.

Their normal price is 170 a ton bulk. Their sale price is $160 for June and July. No coupon needed.

Hey Don, I just saw this in your avatar

Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: Alaska Stoker1? can't figure out these dern Alaska names!!! It's a big old black one.

Could it be because you modified it and turned it into a fluidized bed boiler that burns culm and anything with BTU's and forgot to write down what it was before you modified it?

How does their coal burn now that it isn't UAE any longer? A few years ago that was some good stuff.

I used the Mallard contracting coal for the remainder of the winter. The only time I didn't and went to Keystone was after we had a snow. I bought by the bucket and at Mallard you had to get the coal that wasn't under cover. Keystones coal is all under cover. I put up with the fines and tramp wood from Keystone Anthracite since it wasn't covered in snow and less than 5 minutes from the house. Nothing changed all winter between Keystone and Mallard. Keystone said they never changed where they got their coal or the way they processed it. Hmmm...really? Then why did the quality change so much?

I will use Mallard this year. I'm going to build a coal bunker right outside the kitchen door so I don't have the wet frozen coal in the bucket problem this winter.

Momma already said I could.... 8-)
