Silver binds with proteins on bacterium and kills them. Colloidal silver has been used for a long time as a non drug antibiotic. Lymes is an example. The spirokete builds a biofilm that prevents chemical drugs from attacking it. That defense is usless against silver.Flyer5 wrote:My mother used to put a silver dollar in with wild mushrooms when she cooked them. Something about killing the bad stuff . But not sure. I can say I never got sick from them.

Not a very good year, I've only found 9 all year, I think the turkeys are beating me to them. I see a lot of sratching. Morels have a hollow stem, if its not hollow it's not a Morel. Other than that there is only one mushroom that looks like them, and the stem is not hollow. It's best to know what your eating . If.you aren't sure don't eat. It's good to be out in the woods in the spring. New life everywhere. Happy hunting, I'm sure you will find something good even if its just a nice walk.
If you like morels maybe this is the way to go.... About 5 minutes 10 seconds into the video the "how to" begins.

I seem to be a very successful hunter without using my Henry 357. Why today I took out a large deer at full gallop. The SOB came out of roadside foliage about 15' in front of my 03 Toyota Avalon. I swerved right quickly and it hit the driver front headlight. I quickly looked out my side window and watched the deer cartwheel in mid air and landing on its ass on the side of the road. It was rather funny to see it upside down with its snout facing about a foot off the ground as it hit ass first. I drove another 200 yards until I could safely pull off the road and called 911 and waited 45 minutes for a officer to take the incident report. As we drove back to the spot where I figured I hit the deer we walked another 200 yards and couldn't find it. Fortunately the impact only caused a compression fracture inside the headlight assembly of the amber reflectors and all the lights still worked - no other damage.
I guess there is one sorry very "sore" ass out there somewhere tonight.
