Saved a couple of baby birds today... I think.

Not positive but I think it might be a Swainson’s Thrush based on pictures on the Internet. Every year they build a nest on top of the light on our front porch, we end up having to put up something below the light because they end up making a mess all over the porch building the nest. Really is great spot becsue nothing could possibly get to them and it's out of the weather. Today I found the nest sitting on the front porch complete with 5 chicks, one was dead. Guess it was too heavy and toppled off the light. I scooped them up and put the nest and four chicks back except onto the cloth below the light.

Seen one of the parent birds come back, looks like it was freaked for a while flying back and forth out of the nest but it's been coming back so I guess it will keep feeding them.

Nice Richard. I got Robins that nest under the eave's atop my bay window EVERY year. They're fun to watch. They've even figured when to leave the nest over the yrs. so the dogs don't get em. Genetics????
