Good to hear you are doing well Fred, good to have you back online. I too recently had surgery (hip replacement), the pain meds sure do help with the pain but tend to constipate terrible. I can relate a little to what you are going through. Hang in there, it does get better...eat lots of fruit!

Hi Fred, sorry to hear you are in pain at the incision site. When you see the visiting nurse ask her if you could use a 5% Topical Anesthetic Lidocaine Cream on the site. Neosproin (spelling) has a tube which has both antibiotics and the lidocaine. It sure helped my incision site pain.freetown fred wrote:Oh yeah, that'd put the cherry on the top of this sundae. I hope the pain stops soon. Take care, Lisa

Thanx Lisa--Doc's orders are just saline soaked gauze to pack incision site. Nurse said it all looks good w/ granulation, etc. Have to watch a lump that has been there. I guess after 8 surgeries a lump can be expected due to scar tissue. Good luck getting to that BEE site & I hope ya got some honey.

Its funny how with all the fancy medicines available, salt is still used often for many things. Keep your eye down the road as its looking better.

It got a whole 2 stars out of 5 on the Medicare survey, and only half the patients said they would warn their friends and family to go somewhere else.
Of course that's half of those who survived.
Glad to hear you are done with the medics.
