Look guys, give me a break. I already had to get out of my hammock once to drain the main vein and now I am exhausted. I am considering retaining the services of a coal burning metallurgist friend of mine down the road to complete the work. The grate needs to pushed into place, the doors hung, finial put back on and ash pan inserted. Then all those shiny parts have to be put in place. Now I have discovered a fingerprint on the foot rest. I am having a mental meltdown but I will post photos in about a week. All this stuff takes time.

Do you have a preferred method for removing thumbprints? Any special rags or cleaning solvents you may have found to work better than others? Do you know how much force is needed when wiping to prevent rubbing through the nickle? As for having to get up to go to the can, you could use the catheters that the NASCAR boys use to limit the amount of times having to get up. :)

Well J a little spit and kleenex seemed to work just fine. OTOH that Nascar idea is very creative.

I wish to finally put to bed the silly notion that I may have a few too many stoves. A photo of the dining room. Of course, the dining table had to go but we have plenty of cardboard plates. Fortunately, I have a few extra in the basement. Ignore my gasketting experiments on the Wings Best all that is coming off this weekend. Hello Wilson, anybody home? I need a gas ring assembly for the Wings.

That pic is enough to convince some that those stoves are only good for looking pretty, it would look much better if each stove was hooked to a chimney & each in a separate room. That would make it look like they actually serve a useful purpose, more than just eye candy, more than the satisfaction of knowing that if one breaks there is another waiting to take its place. BUT, we all have different expectations for our possessions. :)

What a silly idea... Oh that's, right I am in the process of opening up a 13x9 chimney for the #8 at the other end of the house but it makes for fun eye candy.
