Ok guys so I have a little issue.. I wired up the house fan and circulator to the thermostat, the fan works properly off from the internal relay that I used, but the pump relay, a Honeywell RA89A has a issue, when the thermostat calls it kicks the pump on, but when I turn down the t'stat the pump stays on until I kill the 120v to the relay?? It should shut off once I shut off the 24v connection?

24v t'stat turns on furnace fan and pump...2 different relays.

24v t'stat turns off furnace fan relay...but pump relay still runs.

Do I understand this correctly?

Correct! Do I have to pump wired up wrong?

I've been messing with this all day and it just won't work right! Everything is turning everything on! Lol I've got modine relay in garage, power going in and out to modine fan 120v. and 24v Tstat wire from Tstat and wire going to pump relay inside and dump zone astat.

Second relay is for pump, I have the 24v Tstat wire from the garage and from the house tstat.

The furnace fan I am turning on with the Tstat.

supply (line) only on 1 and 2

1 and 3 gets jumpered (factory done maybe)

pump and/or fan (load) goes on 2 and 4

Yup that's how I have it. The 24v lines are were I think my problem is, I tied them into eachother before the Tstats, so I think they are back feeding turning on other things.

120 v supply (line) only on 1 and 2...a black and a white.

1 and 3 gets jumpered (factory done maybe)

pump and/or fan (load) goes on 2 and 4

so, only need 1 wire on 1
2 wires on 2
and 1 wire on 4

A t'stat is simply a single pole switch...makes and breaks the 24 volt line.

You don't have the Honeywell RB845 B controllers. They are double pole relays. The ones you have are single pole. All it would have taken is just one call.

Here is a better pic, that's how there wired. Here's a scenario...

I turn the breaker on for the modine 120v. I turn the breaker on for the pump 120v and then they both come on, WITHOUT me turning on the Tstat. The 24v relays are getting powered on and idk how. But if I take 120v power away from the pump circuit I can control the modine with the Tstat. I have the dump zone astat unhooked to eliminate that even though I know it works.

Do I have to run Tstat wire from the Tstat to both the modine and the pump individually? The way I have it hooked is Tstat wire to relay for modine, then too pump relay. Not a separate pair of wires, one too modine, one too pump. I think right now everything is getting 24v.. I don't know how because the Tstats are off, I will have to check with my multi meter Wednesday when I can get it from work.

So I think I just need to put some diode's in the Tstat wires so they don't back feed. I did not buy double pole relays, these are single which is why I'm having these problems isn't it?

You are making this a lot more complex then it needs to be. Just call Scott.

I use the R845 style relays with an extra set of contacts, but there might be a way to make your current equipment work.

Diodes are for blocking DC in one direction, not for blocking AC as it reverses it's polarity 60 times every second.

Lol alrighty then, so I simply bought the wrong relays and there's no way of fixing these.
