Question About Where Liner Would First Show Corrosion

You know, pinholes forming etc....any ideas?

That's a tough one DM if ya got the corrugated flex--other then that, any pseudo horizontal areas.

During use the worst spots are where the chimney runs coolest, which is near the top. Condensation is more likely there. In summer humidity can work its damage where fly ash is most prevalent.

That's where I see it on my 8 year old SS Chimney. When I first noticed it a couple of years ago I roughed the rust spots up, treated it with a rust preventative and sprayed some high temp paint on it. Since then I've made sure I rinse the area with a baking soda bath. Hopefully, it will extent the life of the chimney.
