I'm going to call it the, Occularis Radiant.
The big round eyes for windows will be the trademark characteristic of it.

how 'bout Occularis Prime since it keeps attracting odd ball bits of this and that to itself and changing shape every time I leave the room ?wsherrick wrote:I'm going to call it the, Occularis Radiant.

thanks to all for the well wishes and support.
here's alittle update of current progress. I have had some things on hold while my view port frames, glass and retainers were all coming together.
i had to be sure that those were absolutely workable before I was willing to cut the holes in the barrel, and so, I have held off on a few other interior items since if there were no windows no need to do them.
i did the mock ups, measurements, and transfers from out to in and am satisfied that everything is ready to go.
here's a few pics of the major exterior parts at least held in place for a bit of a preview. I still need to drill the clean out cover plates and barrel in that area.
for reference, the stove is 55" tall at the flat surface of the top. the oval direct exit is just a bit taller, it will be blocked off and used as a tea pot perch. i'm 5'4" so the lower opening of the load door is even with my shoulder.

yeah, but the frames are going to block some of the direct line of sight into the stove on the sides if you are directly in front. the further back and off center you are the better you can see in 2 windows at once.
due to the way the fire bricks are made and function in this stove I expect there to be an awesome "blues" show in those side windows when the stove is operating.
