I needed a wee bit of heat this morning so I loaded the stove with some wood scrap from the shop. I had a nice small fire going, just the kind you need to start coal....................Well, out comes the shovel and in goes the coal. I just couldn't resist.

My stove is about 15' from the outside bin and the door is level with the floor. For years I'd load a wheel barrow with 12 shovels full and wheel it in. Switching this season to one of the TSC wagons to wheel it in. Holds 3X what I was comfortable with the wheel barrow.

Did I mention I just couldn't resist?

Completely understandable! Those little black rocks are hard to resist. Especially with that 'other heating' thing you have listed there....

That's how it always starts....one little shovelful here and one little shovelful there....pretty soon ya got yerself a big ol' bed of red coals and dancing blue flames and you stare at it from now until next May!!!!

Enjoy the warmth!!

Hard to resist isn't it? hahaha 19* this morning over here and I doubt it made it to 30. I was outside today building a porch a few blocks from home, I just walked in my very warm coal heated home and boy it feels good!
Now be careful don't shovel too much it is addictive you know :funny:
