Does anybody know of anyone reasonably close to Wellsville NY that services and has parts available EFM 700. Like a 2 time per year cleaning and service. I have heard of a guy by Perry NY that does this. No one seems to know name or how to get in touch.

Phil

On EFM's website they have a list of dealers and people for service. Perhaps that will get you pointed in the right direction. Hope this helps.

Don't be surprised if some dealers have limited familiarity with a 700. They might be able to clean it, but AFAIK it has been about 30 years since EFM produced a rotating pot stoker and almost 40 years since it produced a 700. You might need more of a specialist for parts and repairs.

So Mike let's have a youtube video from you. The next generation will not have a clue.

You have to have at least one or two interesting stokers to take a video of. You EFM guys aren't holding up your end these days. I'm doing my part on Youtube for Gentleman Janitor, Van Wert and Yellow Flame.

Don't start with us EFM guys. We are too busy having fun dealing with other pieces of crap to take care of our EFM's ;)

Sadly a lot of EFM dealers have never even seen a coal stoker, and even fewer have ever gotten into a 700. Here is a short list of guys that are knowledgeable about the coal products: EFM Dealers/Forum Members Who Might Have Used EFM Stokers

There are dealers that are happy to supply DF520 parts even if they don't handle them routinely, but it will be a trial and error process to call the ones closest to you and see what they offer.

That's one of the few EFM videos that shows some detail about how the stoker works.

I know Mike has a running R85 that would be VERY interesting to see a short video of.

A video of that machine just won't do it justice. Been there, seen that. You need to go see that beast in action. Mike should give coal tours of his boiler room. I think he is the record holder for single family residential coal burned in one year. 35(?) tons!!!! Insane :)

OK. Sure you wouldn't throw in a little cash? It is a ten hour drive round trip.

Here's an old video I posted some years ago. It's of an efm900 but it's basically the same as a 700 just a bit bigger. Hope that it helps.
