I don't know if this is the correct forum for this, but here's the story. Late Saturday night a friend and his wife driving home. They were a couple miles from home on a two lane road when a car ran right up on his bumper blinking his lights and sounding the horn. They were driving the speed limit and had not had any problems previously. After a bit he told his wife to stop, he wanted to see what the guy's problem was. As he got out and walked back the guy gunned it and intentionally hit him and took off. My friend fell across his hood, breaking the windshield and suffering a concussion and various cuts and abrasions. After a quick trip to the ER, they said he did not have any broken bones or internal injuries. He still has no idea who it was or why they acted like that.
Now in Paul Harvey style, the rest of the story. My 16 yr old grandson has a summer job working with this friend. Monday morning the alternator went out on the work truck, they went to the shop and replaced it. It was very hot and my grandson had been using his greasy hands to wipe the sweat off his face. He goes into the office and says it's ready, they can go to work. My friend says "Not like that. You can't show up at the customer's place looking like some sort of bum." My grandson's instant reply, "Why not. You look like you've been run over by a car." They said the office manager nearly pi$$ed herself laughing.

TT, Your location is not shown under your name but if I knew what location all this happened in, I would do my best to stay out of that zip code. It doesn't sound to me like this will be the end of the erratic behavior for driver no.2 .Lucky your friend did not make the evening news in a cop/ flashing lights/ body bag scenario. Our roadways are getting progressively more dangerous every year. Mike

Well, he discovered what they guy's problem was ... he did not like the driving and was rather angry.
Stopping and saying "what's the problem" is not the best way of finding out.

Yes, I think he knows that. Now. He is still young and invincible, just like most of us were at that age. I talked to him tonight, he looks like he had been sparring with Mike Tyson. One big shiner, several cuts needed stitches, both knees busted open and so stiff he has trouble walking. He is very fortunate it wasn't much worse.
I posted this so others might learn also. Zip code doesn't matter, there are nuts everywhere. When someone tries to get you to stop in a remote area you have no idea what their true intentions are. Plus I thought the thing with my grandson was pretty funny. I'm glad to see him finally bouncing back. His Dad, my son, was killed in a house fire on Christmas day two years ago. In a few weeks he will be eligible for his drivers license, I plan to register his Dad's truck for him.
Some people can learn by just listening as someone explains, others must be shown. And some just have to pi$$ on the electric fence for themselves.

I found my cure for road rage was getting a gun pointed at you. Once by a guy wanted on a felony warrant and the second time by the local police.
